ArmA II Server Rules - 15.06 2010

The UTF would like to thank everyone who joins our server to have a great ArmA experience.  One thing that we know will keep people coming in to play is a healthy server so we have been taking initiatives to make that a priority for us.  Some of those initiatives rely on us to work out any kinks (lag, crashing, etc), but others rest in the players hands.  Therefore, we have suggested a set of rules that we would like all to follow when in our servers:

  • Joining Warfare & Team Balancing: When joining our Warfare servers please be courteous to others when choosing sides.  We are continuously suggesting folks look at the numbers on each team and choose the side that has a lower number in an effort to balance the session.  As you know warfare can be a long lasting and fun session, however, if you join a side that has a large outnumbering list of players you are going to reduce any fun the other side has.  We are all about making the sessions fun for everyone so please help us by balancing the server as you join.
  • Picking/Switching Teams during Warfare: If you are caught switching teams during a session of WARFARE you will immediately be kicked (with an admin present) and most likely will be banned and be placed on a global ban list.  We will not tolerate folks who join a side to find out where the HQ is then switch sides with that information.
  • Friendly Fire:  We understand Friendly Fire can be accidental, however, we are keeping a close eye on this matter and if this is abused you will immediately be kicked (with an admin present) and most likely will be banned and be placed on a global ban list.
  • Game-play Structure: If you join our server and it is found that you are shooting aimlessly, blowing things up at random, or simply put, "not really playing", you will immediately be kicked (with an admin present), and could possibly be banned.  We understand some folks like to test things out at times and others may not know what to do based on the mission, so as long as there isn't a negative impact on players please be sensitive to this suggested rule.
  • Playing Fair: This goes along with Rule #1.  If we don't restrict the server to specific addons and we find that some players exploit addons to their advantage (i.e. Enhanced weapons, Artillary, Soldier's clothing, etc) you may be questions, kicked, and/or banned.
  • Conduct: If you are abusive in any way, shape, or form, you will be asked to stop or leave.  If you persist with your actions you will be kicked (with an admin present) and/or banned.  Some smack-talk or joking around is fine, however, vulgar/extreme/offensive language will not be tolerated.
  • Ping: We would like to see folks with average to above average be in our server.  If it is found that your ping is very high and possibly bogging us down, you may be asked to leave.  If you refuse and we strongly feel you are a possible source to server-lag, you may be kicked.
  • Password protected server: At times we will password our server either for our members or to lock it down to get some fun sessions/events going.  If you would like the password when we do this visit our forums because we will try to mention the password there.  Another way would be to hop on our Teamspeak and ask if it's ok to join in and we will gladly offer the password.
